Pursuing an academic career following her undergraduate graduation, Dr. Şeker began her PhD studies at the Department of Endodontics, Gazi University Faculty of Dentistry.
She conducted her academic studies as a 100/2000 CoHE (Council of Higher Education) PhD Scholar and completed her doctoral education with the thesis titled "In vitro investigation of the antibacterial effects of intracanal applications of R-limonene nanoemulsions on root dentin," earning the title of "Doctor of Science."

Born in Ankara, Dr. Dt. İlke Doğa (AYMERGEN) ŞEKER completed her primary and secondary education at Ankara Private Tevfik Fikret Primary School and her high school education at Dr. Binnaz Ege – Dr. Rıdvan Ege Anatolian High School. She successfully completed her dental education at Hacettepe University Faculty of Dentistry, one of Türkiye’s well-established institutions, and graduated.

Fluent in English, French, Finnish, and Romanian, Dr. Dt. İlke Doğa (AYMERGEN) ŞEKER closely follows professional developments and is a member of the Turkish Endodontic Society, the Turkish Dental Association, and the Ankara Chamber of Dentists.
